About Us

BK Yoga Club is a body positive yoga studio growing in community. We aim to be a home away from home where practitioners, artists, and creatives come together to share the gift of yoga, movement, & creativity. Co-founders Paris Alexandra and Alicia Ferguson connected over their shared vision to create a holistic wellness center that celebrates the arts.

When did your yoga journey begin?

I found myself overstressed , over worked and very much uninspired. I lived in a small Brooklyn apartment with 5 roommates and barely had enough space to think straight. I needed a change. A new studio opened up in my neighborhood so I randomly decided to pop in for a class.... that day I fell in love with yoga. I knew none of the poses or the names and I fumbled through the entire class but my heart felt so full. During my first savanna the teacher played a solemn 60’s blues track and candles flicker along the borders of the studio walls. That day I was hooked.

When did your yoga journey begin?

I started practicing yoga 12 years ago as a way to find stillness. I was healing from trauma and searching for modalities to support my process and find my voice. Yoga was a tool that enabled me to fall in love with my body and become a gentle observer of my thoughts.
